This pitch competition is specifically designed to cater the necessary visibility and exposure to the Start-Up entrepreneurs in minority-owned Tech businesses.

ELIGIBILITY

Minority Owned 51% or greater.
Tech business (e.g. Food, Health, IT, anything operational with Tech) operated by representatives who wish to settle down in the Greater Philadelphia & PA market.
Registered as a Company in the US
Unique Product/Service that solves a problem
Own Website & Email
For Profit
Ability to travel to Philadelphia, PA on August 2nd, 2024 for pitch competition.
Must attend any required virtual meetings for the preparation of the pitch.
Use of funds for business development, not private or personal

TIMELINE

Application Submission: May 27th – July 12th (Rolling Application Review)
Evaluation & Selection: Rolling Review until Mid-July
Online Rehearsal: July 25th
Pitch Competition: August 2nd

PITCH PRESENTATIONS

Each startup is given 5 minutes to present their pitch.
Judges will evaluate based on: Innovation and uniqueness, Market potential, Feasibility and scalability, Team competence, Presentation skills, Overall impact.
A typical pitch includes:
- Introduction and problem statement
- Solution and product/service description
- Market opportunity and target audience
- Business model and revenue strategy
- Traction and milestones achieved
- Team introduction
- Funding needs and use of funds
- Closing summary and call to action
